The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a good option for those looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It's a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the features of its more expensive counterpart.
In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. However, unlike other models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.
Roomba s9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and plenty of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automatic cleaning functions at the click of the button. You can select the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger debris such as rice and cereal. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that your home is thoroughly cleaned.
This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however, iRobot claims that future models will be better.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an advanced filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. We like the claim however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.
Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to store the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundary markers, so it can recognize areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vac settings are just as efficient as those found on higher-end models and its mopping feature is better still--its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only drawback is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to allow for more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay for if you want one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it, even with the maximum dirt level.
For the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, create little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without interruption. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move on whenever it comes across one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the bin hidden in the background, as well as cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something is in need of attention, like the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.
You can also create and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is helpful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors in the first pass. It is able to even remove wet spills but I would suggest wiping them dry using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that washes and cleans the mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also comes with a sensor that recognizes obstacles better and prevents it from falling robots that vacuum and mop on furniture and other objects.
The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still quite large. It is more than two feet in the height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also comes with a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that is functional even when you're not at home. It also comes with additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature which allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your house instead of just following a specific path.
The X2 Omni is the most effective robot at mopping. Its mop pads that rotate clean tough stains and its motor generates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does the job well. It also has a massive battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as any we've seen in an ordinary robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that has a range of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It can build precise floor maps, recognize different types of flooring, and it's one of the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These are nice features but they also push the L10s into the premium category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture when you are moving around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically acts as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu located in the middle of the control panel lets you to choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open up the settings menu of the app where you can alter how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for households with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors and removing all but stubborn juice staining. The mops also work well and remove 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as efficient in dealing with sand on the hard floor and quaker oats on the carpet.
