The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It has a great mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features found in its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able to take on dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. However, unlike other models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, such as a dirt compartment that is integrated into the base of charging. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and recommend automatic schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the push of the button. You can choose a general clean that focuses on the removal of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot promises that the next models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the hockey puck-like design of robovacs, but we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an advanced filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to store the structure of your home, and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, such as staircases and other barriers, and also to clean your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of higher-end models, and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a major issue if you want to own one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.

For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or watch television without getting distracted. If it encounters the wall or a furniture piece it gently smacks into it and then moves along.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries the clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something is in need of attention, for example, the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms in order to personalize the way Q Revo handles your home. This feature is helpful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently get rid of clutter like clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors on the first pass. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it in.

It also has an automatic cleaning station that cleans and empty the mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement robot vacuum black friday over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it measures over two feet in the height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it has faster battery charging and can handle a complete cleaning of around 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even when you're at home. It also has a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the best robot at mopping. Its mop pads that rotate clean tough stains and its motor generates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing the job well. It also has a huge battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as anything we've seen in an ordinary robot.

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that comes with a variety of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, identify various flooring types and is one of the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These features are great however they can push the L10s into the luxury category. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.

The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving through the home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel has the circular menu which lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This helps the robot clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability which clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hard-floor test and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the floor or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
