The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great choice if you are looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.
In the course of testing, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard flooring. It does not use LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do to map your home.
Roomba s9+ iRobot from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and incredible cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is integrated into the base of charging. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is setup it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can select an overall clean that emphasizes the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice or go for two thorough maps of your area to ensure that your entire home gets a proper look.
This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot says that future models will be better.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard however we found it only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price cost.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your whole home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping feature is better still--its spinning pads do a much better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only drawback is the absence of a second brush for deeper cleaning. But that's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is also bigger than those on many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it, even with the maximum dirt level.
In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub the tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or watch television without getting distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls, and then move on when it encounters one.
What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something needs attention, such as the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.
You can also design and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is useful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or in the event that you have to regularly remove clutter, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up dirt from carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has a powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready to be reused. It also features a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.
The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet high and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that works even when you're at home. It also comes with a smart routing function that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a set path.
The X2 Omni is the top robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads clean tough stains and its motor produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too and it increases suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing an excellent job. It has a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and vacuum robot that comes with a range of convenience features you do not often find on robots of this price. It can make precise floor maps and recognize different flooring types. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features, but they also place the L10s in the class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.
It is designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish enhanced by silver elements and mirror plating. The front here of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving around the house. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the screen, you'll find a single button that essentially serves as the on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and send it back to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will bring up the app's settings menu where you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors, and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as great at tackling sand on the floor or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
