It is also more comfortable to use, has fewer parts that require regular maintenance, is less expensive to own over the course of its life and charges faster than the 694.
It's also worth considering other models that are more expensive from the iRobot range, such as the 981 or the v7. The v7 and 981 are more expensive, but they offer significant improvements in cleaning performance both on low and bare pile floors. They also have a bigger dirt compartment, charge faster, move more easily and are easier to pair with smart home devices.
Shark RV1001AE IQ
This budget self-emptying robot vacuum cleaner does a good job on carpets with a low pile and hard floors. Its combination brush reaches the edges and corners and automatically increases suction as soon as it spots carpet. It also excels at cleaning dirt and debris that are embedded in carpets that are mid-pile. The IQ's compact footprint for docks and its self-emptying feature are both nice features. However, if you want to change the floor levels on the map, or set no-go zones you'll have to manually reset it in order to do so, which is a bit of an inconvenience.
The IQ app offers some advanced mapping and automated features, however it lacks no-go zones. These are only available on iRobot robots. The smart-pathing system of the app permits for better maneuverability and the high-pile feature of its carpet cleaning mode is effective but it could get caught in the tassels of the rug.
During our tests during our tests, the IQ was adept at handling pet hair well, clearing an impressive amount of debris from bare floors and fair amounts on medium-pile carpet. It was less efficient on shag carpets, which was a struggle to reach dirt and dust buried in the fibers. It was able navigate the legs of chairs, small spaces, and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. It was a bit slower on floors with no flooring, but it regained speed and performed better than other robots we tested.
The IQ is a better choice than the iRobot Roomba 694 for most applications. It has a bigger dust bin and lasts longer on charge and does a better job of moving itself over obstacles. It also has a mopping attachment that can deal with sticky messes. On the other hand the iRobot is more durable and has fewer components that require maintenance or replacement and incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance and creates virtual no-go zones with its companion app. It can continue cleaning the point it started, even if the battery runs out before it has finished. The iRobot can also be controlled using voice, which is a huge benefit for many users.
Eufy 11S
The RoboVac 11S eufy robot vacuum isn't among the most features-rich models, but it provides excellent cleaning power for an affordable price. It's designed for budget-conscious buyers who don't require a complicated mapping system or an app to control the device. This robot will last for more than an hour. It comes with an remote control, a cleaning tool, and AC power adapter.
The 11S is slim and sleek, and features a tempered-glass upper deck that resembles brushed aluminum. It's a nice aesthetic departure from Roomba, Samsung, and Neato designs that are more practical and industrial.

The BoostIQ mode is another fantastic feature of the Eufy11S. It allows you to set up the robot to automatically adjust the suction force based on the floor type read more and the amount of mess. It's also simple to use the remote to direct the 11S to where you want it to go.
