Our experience suggests that the iRobot S9+ doesn't get loud during operation which makes it a good choice for those who live with pets or children.
Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid
Robot vacuum cleaners are created to do the chores for you, and can be used to clean hardwood and carpeted flooring. The most effective ones can be controlled and monitored via an app on your smartphone, and some even have mopping tech for bathroom and kitchen floors. They're an excellent solution for busy families, and are becoming more affordable than ever. If you want top-of-the-line features in your robotic cleaner, you're going to have to spend a bit more.
The Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid vacuum and mopping machine is a great choice for people who live in a multi-floored apartment. Its dual motors give it impressive cleaning power and the 0.6l dustbin can store plenty of pet hair. The dustbin is able to be removed and emptied easily this is important since you'll have to do it frequently.
It's also easy to set up, but I would recommend fully charging the X8 Hybrid prior to running it for the very first time. You'll have to install the Eufy Home app and follow the instructions for connecting it to your Wi-Fi network. Once you've done this the app will assist you create an accurate map of your home. You can label rooms and divide large spaces into sub-rooms (good for open plan living) and direct the X8 Hybrid to specific areas that require cleaning at the time of. Eufy's app is more intuitive and refined than other robots that have similar mapping and scanning functions.
The X8 Hybrid has a great feature: you can control the vacuum cleaner or mop by voice thanks to the integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This is a wonderful feature that makes the robot more hands-free. It was a success in our test home.
Like many robotic vacuums, the X8 Hybrid has some issues with floors that are not clean. It can miss pet fur and small objects and can cause bumps to objects like its charger on the charging platform. It's also not as quiet, and the whirring sound could be distracting as with other models.
Roborock V3S Pro
This model doesn't have the same features as some of the more expensive models we've tested, but it does have the basics covered. It has a large enough dust bin that can hold plenty of dirt until it needs emptying and its vacuum and mop system is perfect for carpets with low pile and hard floors. It's also very quiet, and we were able to sit and watch the TV while it was working without feeling like it was blazing us with the sound.
Our testers were very impressed by how simple the machine was to use and set up. They also loved its ability to eliminate all the messes from their floors. It even did a pretty good job at removing pet hair and messes on carpeting, although it was less successful in removing stubborn stains. The app was simple to use and intuitive. It was able to set up the vacuum to clean on a regular basis to minimize the amount of manual work. It doesn't have the ability to avoid objects or map technology, which means it cannot be able to be directed to specific rooms or follow virtual boundaries (though magnetic boundaries can be used).

It's also very quiet and has a huge dust bin that holds plenty of debris prior to when it's time to empty it, so you don't have to worry about constantly emptying it.
The V3S Pro did not make it into any of our top picks lists from reliable sources that perform hands-on tests, but it was praised by Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. They liked how easy it was to set good robot vacuum up and use, but they also noted that its battery life is short and it didn't manage to avoid some of the toughest mess we've put it through.
