The Eufy Robot Vacuum Review
Eufy robot vacuums are famous for being easy to use. The Eufy RoboVac 30C model is Wi-Fi-enabled and includes the remote control for simple use via the app. It also comes with boundary strips and a battery life of 100 minutes.
Its Boost IQ technology can transfer from tile and wood to low-pile carpeting and area rug without a hitch. Other features that are standard include drop and obstacle detection, which lets it avoid bumping into furniture and walls.
Boost IQ Technology
The eufy robot vacuum line provides a wide range of models, but there are some features that are standard across their lineup. One of them is Boost IQ technology designed to help your robot seamlessly transition from hard floors to low to medium-pile carpeting as well as area carpets. It will automatically increase suction power whenever it comes across a certain type of surface to ensure it is as clean as is possible.
An important feature is the manual switch between cleaning modes. This includes Quick Clean, which is great for a 30-minute fast sweep of the floor, Auto, which will operate in an open space without having to switch modes, Edge, which will specifically focus on your walls and corners and Spot, which works best when there's a small area that requires attention, like spilled baking soda.
Of course, the eufy robotic also has the essential capabilities like obstacle and drop detection as well as a self-emptying base. Most robots have a standard obstacle and drop detection. This stops them from hitting walls or furniture.
Some of the eufy robotics come with a variety of LED indicators that can communicate with you, similar to an electronic watch. A solid green signifies that the robot is in standby or charging mode while blue means that it's active and working and a solid orange means that your eufy is low on power and has to go back to its home base.
The eufy RoboVac 11S is a top-rated model and an ideal choice for those who want an efficient robot vacuum that has long run times, including its ability to reach the most remote corners of your home. It has a slim design that fits under furniture and in tight spaces, and a tempered glass cover that's resistant to scratches. It also has an actual remote control as well as smart sensors for navigation, and several cleaning modes. However, it doesn't have many of the sophisticated features that other models in the line include, such as digital mapping or app-based control.
Powerful Suction
This vacuum cleaner features an impressive suction of 2,000 psi which is ideal for removing food crumbs, cereal particles, and other dust or debris on medium to low pile carpeting and hard floors. It also sucks up pet hair as well as other allergens from furniture that is upholstered. The side-brush that rotates can be useful in getting into corners and along baseboards. The rolling brush picks up dust, dirt and other debris that sticks to surfaces.
The 25C is connected to WiFi and can be controlled by an app on your smartphone. It can also be controlled using voice commands when paired with an Amazon Echo or Google Assistant smart home speaker. It also comes with a handy charging station that holds the vacuum cleaner when it is not in use.
All eufy robotic vacuums come with several standard features. These include drop and obstacle detection, which prevents it from running into objects or falling down the stairs. Certain models, such as the eufy RoboVac11S and its re-engineered version, the eufy RoboVac 30C MAX, have advanced navigation systems that create and remember the virtual floor map so it knows where to go (and the best places to stay away from) every time it cleans.
You can customize cleaning cycles and set specific areas for the eufy robot vacuum, and set specific areas to stay clear of using the app or Alexa-compatible voice controls. You can also secure sensitive rooms, such as the ones that contain toys for your children or console tables. This eufy model comes with two border strips that can be bundled to let you block off larger areas.
The eufy RoboVac 11S MAX is one of the best-performing robotic vacuums in our tests with the top marks for cleaning capability and navigation. Its design is simple, with just one button on the top to turn it on and an on/off switch beneath for a permanent turn-off, as well as a glass-tempered surface with ten infrared sensors to keep away from obstacles and the 0.15-gallons or 0.6-liter dust bin. The re-engineered navigation system comes with iPath laser scanning technology, which creates and stores the floor map. It uses this information to quickly navigate to every area of your house and ensure it covers every inch.
Convenient App Control
Like many robotic vacuums that are available, eufy's models come with intelligent features that let you control your device remotely. This includes the ability to schedule cleaning times, set virtual boundaries that stop your robot from entering certain areas (such as rooms that are stuffed with electrical cords), and set the return to base feature. Some of them allow you to draw a an image of the house and mark the areas you wish to clean.
Some of eufy's top-of-the-line robotic cleaners feature a specific navigation system called'smart mapping'. It scans your home's floors and creates a map it uses every cleaning. This lets the vacuum effortlessly move from floors that are not clean to area rugs, and back without skipping any steps.
The eufy RoboVac 25C, for example, is a fantastic illustration of this model. It has three suction power settings you can select using the companion app "Standard", "Turbo" which improves the machine's performance in cleaning floors with no dust and "Max" which is specifically designed to clean floors with high piles.
Its battery performance is outstanding it allows the vacuum to run for as long as 100 minutes in its default Standard mode. The vacuum also features a built-in battery indicator that flashes blue when it is charging, and then pulsates orange when it's low in power, and then changes to blue when fully charged.
Another cool feature is the 'Spot Cleaning mode that lets you make the vacuum focus on a small, localized area by pressing a button at its base. This is a great way to get pet hair or crumbs out of corners or from under furniture where a traditional vacuum would be unable to reach.
The elegant RoboVac does a great job on pet hair, however it may require a few more passes to remove stubborn patches of hair from low- and high pile carpeting. It's not as effective in getting hair out of crevices and cracks on carpeted floors as it is for bare floors. However it does a fantastic job of removing pet fur from both naked and covered surfaces.
100 Minutes of Cleaning
The eufy robotic vacuum can clean for an impressive 100 minutes, and then it will automatically return to its charging base. It is able to robot mop work on multiple floors and comes with an efficient vacuum that can clean everything from cereal pieces to glitter specks. It has a sturdy brush roll and an additional brush that helps it reach corners and crevices that other robots may not be able to reach.
The battery-powered robo-vacuum can be operated via the remote control provided or by transmitting commands over Wi-Fi via your smart-home assistant, smartphone, or even a smart device. You can also alter Boost IQ which can optimize the suction power in accordance with the type of floor that the vacuum is working on.
The G30 Edge, like other robots that are eufy is designed to move around your home in a minimalist way. Simply attach the edge brush that rotates and connect to Wi-Fi in only a few minutes. Once connected, the app allows you to set up an cleaning routine and also use voice commands with an intelligent home speaker compatible.
Many eufy robots offer this level of customization which lets you select the specific areas you want it to focus on and the times you'd like it to clean. The app allows you to create virtual boundaries that block the robot from getting into areas where there might be electrical cords or other obstacles.
Some models from Eufy come with an intuitive map which uses sensors to determine the location of furniture and walls, and shows a route for covering them. Other models use the navigational technology known as iPath which is more advanced. In these instances the robot vacuum employs an algorithm to intelligently create the path, and then follow it until it reaches the area that is designated. The robot then returns to its dock and charges and waits for its next scheduled cleaning.
Other models of eufy's robotic vacuum do not possess this level of intelligence. These models, which are generally the cheapest in the lineup do not have an electronic mapping system, but instead chart the same zig-zag pattern each time they begin a cleaning session. Although this can be frustrating but the eufy robot cleaner is always able to cover the same areas. In addition, it never fails to cover corners or other hard to access areas.
